Title: Tail
Author: Nyssa
Fandom: Mr. Toad's Wild Ride (aka, The Wind in the Willows)
Pairing: Rat/Mole
Rating: Um, R? Not terribly explicit, I don't think. Anthropomorphized animals making out. I didn't know I was a furry, I swear.
Summary: The cloud of Mole's homelessness has a silver lining.
Author's notes: OK, I'm weird. But I saw Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, which is, of course, the 1996 live-action multi-Python Terry Jones-directed and -written version of Kenneth Grahame's venerable children's classic The Wind in the Willows. Steve Coogan plays Mole and is adorable. Eric Idle plays Ratty and is also adorable, but that's no surprise. (Come to think of it, Terry J. as Toad, John Cleese as Toad's lawyer and Michael Palin as The Sun, are also adorable. No Python fixation here, not at all.) I couldn't get over the way Ratty and Badger stare each other down over which of them Mole's going to move in with. And the way Rat keeps insisting to both Badger and Toad that it's going to be him. And Mole's overall sweet-young-thing-ness. Cute movie, I'm telling you.
Feedback will be lapped up!
Disclaimer: Definitely not mine. Don't know if Kenneth Grahame's works are in public domain yet, but I certainly don't own them.
