Betas, Editors?

I've got a problem in my fandom that it's tough to find betas let alone editors. I want to work with one but can't find someone in a tiny fandom. I've heard there are people who will beta, at least for punctuation and grammar, plot continuation, etc. even if they're not fans of the show. Anyone know where I could find a beta outside my fandom? You can write me privately.

Editors/Betas

I write Monk, it's a dramedy tv show that's been on about 4 years now. The two cops. Interestingly it looks like the most popular pairing is actually the title character and the police captain. People write *all kinds* of pairings in this show, het and slash. Maybe in an effort to pimp the fandom I could get some fanfic online then into a digest zine later.

I don't have a story completely ready for a beta now. I've got some serious revisions to make on my end, but I'd like to see where a couple of them can go.

As a long-time Fry and Laurie fan, it's a kick to see someone with a Stephen Fry icon respond! :-))

Well, shit -- I'd beta for Monk :) I wouldn't consider myself to be a part of the fandom, but I've seen quite a few episodes, and I'm very good with grammar and punctuation issues. Feel free to send it my way when you've finished your revisions, if you like: ignazwisdom @ gmail.com

OMG. Monk! Stottlemeyer/Disher pairing! Oh! Me! Me! Me! Ahem. (clears throat and quietly sits down) But if you're still looking for a beta for any of your work, I'd be happy to read it over. I really don't see why there isn't more of this pairing on the net. I understand how hard it can be to find beta's in rare/unconventional pairings or fandoms. I have been running into it myself. Most just can't do slashed twincest. (gives you puzzled, innocent look) And well the few who have asked, sent e-mails saying, and I quote. "Plz cna eidtor 4 u" So I sent them back replies of 'Thank you for the offer.' Sorry about the ramble and I hope to see any stories you write, before or after they're posted. Lovez and Huggz
