Pairing: J.R. "Johnny" Cash/Jack Cash

Length: 2311 words

Warnings: possible incestuous undertones.
Notes: I have no excuses for this fic. I just... I've wanted to write Johnny/Jack ever since I read Johnny Cash's autobiography. Now, I pair them, but really this is about their friendship, being brothers, and how close they were. Not romance. But still. And as a disclaimer, I hope I don't need to tell you I'm not Johnny Cash, as he's passed on. Written for
contrelamontre's "hair," "hysterical," and "spank" challenge. Written in just over an hour.

Background Information: Since not everyone might know about Johnny and Jack Cash. From Wikipedia:
Cash was very close to his older brother Jack. In 1944, Jack was pulled into a whirling table saw in the mill where he worked, and almost cut in two. He suffered for over a week before he died. [...] Cash often spoke of the horrible guilt he felt over this incident, because he had gone out fishing that day. On his deathbed, Jack said he had had visions of Heaven and angels before he died. Almost sixty years later, Cash spoke of looking forward to meeting his brother in Heaven.
This story takes place in 1943.
