Notes: Subtle and/or overt references to the following occur throughout: Pier Angeli (Jim's girlfriend), Jackie Witte (Paul's first wife), Lee Strasberg (director of the Actors Studio, which James and Paul both attended), the film From Here to Eternity (specifically the beach kiss), and Paul's time in the Navy during World War II.
