Stupid question: how do I generate a LJ-Cut?

Hi. I just wrote my first slash fanfic ever (McManus/Fenster, from The Usual Suspects), but I don't know how to post it here. Can someone be kind enough to enligthen me?

Hi,
If you are posting in Rich text format then there is an LJ cut icon on posting toolbar. Click on it and a text box will open asking you to put a name to your cut. When the text box closes, there will be a shaded area with "type your text here" or somesuch. Copy and paste your story into the shaded area and that will be the cut portion of your post.

If you are posting in HTML, then you have to use the tag for an LJ cut. lj-cut text="cut text here" with this arrow > at the end and this one < at the beginning of the html code.
