Hello, I'm rekindle956. I have been lurking this comm for years now. Thanks to the mod onefishjyuufish for maintaining it alive.

A/N:Upon reading Interlude by voorishsign/a_strange_fear, I got inspired to write a little comfort drabble, but I'm really no writer.


Three years after The Beast is put down, the world is still the same dark place it was before. Injustice, violence, fear and anger plague the Earth; but Keith Jennings is still alive.

Keith watches Robert Thorn deeply asleep on their bed. Robert looks peaceful, young in his sleep. Maybe it was only despair that pulled them together, but neither is complaining.

Keith decides not to light up a cigarette and instead lies beside his lover. As long as they have been together, there have been no nightmares; in spite of the horrors of the world, there has been hope.

It's so cool to see this. I always thought there was a little slashiness between those two. I mean at one point they literally get a room don't they? Really nice little drabble.
