I dunno how I feel about this one. I wanted to do something to address the idea of homophobia, as it's pervasive, and I usually just ignore it in fics (because it's nasty and I don't understand it). I did some reading on PubMed, and gleaned that it's usually associated with alpha-male dominance characteristics, including aggression and cruelty, but more interestingly, is also associated with fear of might be me. Sean, Reiss's henchman, lept out as a nasty aggressive type, so I used him. I dunno how well it actually worked, but here it is.
Oh, the bit about the frogs came from a rather disturbing conversation I had with a co-worker.

Now I can go back to angsty lovin' fics. ;)

I wrote this as canon gapfiller - shoehorned into Cradle of Life. They get hustled out of the trailer by the baddies and we don't see them again until Africa (although somewhere in there, Hillary goes from dressed to the nines to barely dressed).
